The first American 155-mm howitzers were delivered to Ukraine
During his visit to Kyiv, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that American howitzers were already in Ukraine.

“18 howitzers are already in Ukraine. 7 more being prepped now. 72 more soon.”
It is reported that the training of 50 Ukrainian artillerymen was complete.
A 6-day course for the next 50 Ukrainian servicemen is starting soon.
The Ukrainian servicemen were instructed on how to operate the howitzers, and now they are supposed to pass those skills over to other Ukrainian artillerymen.
Ukraine will also receive additional financial aid of $322 million for the purchase of Soviet-made ammunition, probably artillery shells.
The US Department of Defense has additionally released footage of the shipping of Javelin anti-tank missile systems for Ukraine.
In addition, the US Department of Defense has announced that Stinger anti-aircraft systems would be shipped to Ukraine with this batch.
“Our Airmen prepare supply crates containing Stinger anti-aircraft systems, Javelin anti-armor systems, and other equipment that will be transferred to Ukraine through Dover Air Force Base in April 2022,” the US Defense Department announced in the statement.
As reported earlier, the United States will provide an additional $800 million military aid package to Ukraine.
Ukraine will receive 72 additional 155-mm howitzers and 144,000 artillery rounds; 72 Tactical tow trucks for howitzers; 121 Phoenix Ghost tactical UAVs from the U.S.
