A Ukrainian Magura V5 USV destroyed a Russian speedboat in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported on this.

The naval drone was operated by the operators of the Group 13 unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The boat of the Russian invaders was hit in the Vuzka Bay near Chornomorske in the west of the Crimean peninsula.

The footage shows a Ukrainian naval drone approaching the anchorage of Russian boats.

The Russian invaders fired at the Magura V5 drone with small arms, possibly large-caliber machine guns and other weapons, trying to damage it.

However, despite the Russian attempts to interfere with the combat mission, the Ukrainian drone approaches the Russian speedboat and hits it. The image quality does not allow us to accurately identify the type of Russian boat.

It is noted that the successful operation of the Group 13 unit had been made possible with the assistance of the United24 platform.

“As the fear of Ukrainian Attacks Forces the invaders to hide large Black Sea Fleet ships away from the peninsula, combat work continues on high-speed maneuverable Russian warships illegally located in the Ukrainian territorial waters of Crimea,” the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized.

The Magura V5 is a new generation multi-purpose unmanned surface vessel developed in Ukraine. The drone is controlled by a special portable remote control with screens and a set of keys and switches. The operator uses cameras to observe the situation around the drone and can control it until it hits a specific target.

As a kamikaze drone, it can engage enemy surface ships, both at sea and at military bases in bays. For this, it can carry up to 320 kilograms of explosives.

In February, the Group 13 unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine used Magura drones to destroy the Russian guided missile corvette Ivanovets and the landing ship Caesar Kunikov in the Black Sea. Both ships sank.
