A popular blogger and former navy seal from Korea is fighting for Ukraine

Ken Rhee, a former Navy special warfare officer of the Republic of Korea, arrived in Ukraine to participate in the war against russian aggression.

The Korean national shared that he has come to Ukraine despite the Korean government’s travel ban to Ukraine. Any Korean would be facing up to a year in prison or an $8,150 fine for violating this government order. Ken Rhee mentioned that he is ready to take responsibility upon his return.

On his Instagram, Rhee announced that he had joined the International Legion of the Ukrainian Territorial Defence.

Ken claims that together with colleagues from the United States and Britain, they have created a special operations unit and are involved in offensive operations.

I have been receiving full support from the Ukrainian Army and the Ukrainian people, and the Ukrainians are united in expressing their deep gratitude for the contribution made by the International Legion.

Ken Rhee is convinced that the Republic of Korea should be supporting Ukraine just like the whole world was once helping Korea in its war against the Communists.

Ken Rhee is a popular video blogger in his country and runs a YouTube channel with 790,000 subscribers. Rhee became popular in 2020, after appearing in the YouTube series, where he invited celebrity contestants to complete the brutal challenges designed for the navy’s elite forces.
