A Russian airstrike hits the city of Lgov, controlled by Russian troops
The Russian Aerospace Forces dropped a bomb on the Russian-controlled town of Lgov in the Kursk region.
Russian propagandists released the footage of the incident.
The bomb fell near the Volna local sports and recreation center, located at Tytova Street, 2.
Russian propagandists traditionally blamed the Armed Forces of Ukraine and showed a huge crater allegedly created by the downed GMLRS missile.
Obviously, a crater of this size could only be caused by a large-caliber bomb (with a large nominal mass).
It is not the first time that Russian aviation has dropped bombs on its own cities.
On July 1, it was reported that the total number of bombs dropped by Russia on its own and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine reached at least 110 over the past 4 months.
FAB-3000, which weighs three tons, was also found among the ammunition.
Many of these incidents are attributed to the abnormal triggering of modified Russian bombs equipped with UMPK kits or other technical malfunctions or crew errors.
The fall of the bombs on the territory of Russia is due to the large number of tactical aircraft sorties whose route passes through Russia.
In April 2023, a Russian Su-34 fighter bomber dropped two bombs on Belgorod.
Two bombs fell in a densely populated area of the city and caused significant damage.
