A satellite photo of the Antonivskyi Bridge in temporarily occupied Kherson appeared after the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 26.

A photo of the damage to the road bridge was published by OSINT researcher Tim Earhart on Twitter.

The satellite image from Planet Labs was taken on August 26 at 3.00 pm, about an hour after hitting the travel part of the crossing.

The section of the bridge is not destroyed, but damage to the canvas is visible. There is no transport visible on the bridge.

Also, the pier of the pontoon crossing near the bridge, which was deployed by the Russian occupiers due to constant attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the structure, is undamaged.

Yesterday, August 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Antonivskyi Bridge across the Dnipro river in temporarily occupied Kherson.

Eyewitnesses reported explosions, while a column of thick smoke was billowing in the area of the bridge.

Air defense of the Russian invaders made attempts to shoot down the shells which were attacking the bridge.

Funnels from hits on the canvas of the bridge can tell that they failed.

It is reported that usually the Ukrainian Defense Forces use the rocket ammunition of the GMLRS family to hit the crossings captured by the Russians over water obstacles.

Earlier, the invaders already admitted that the Antonivskyi Bridge in Kherson had been seriously damaged after the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The bridge is strategically important for the Russian army, because it is one of a few to enable providing for the groups of invaders located in Kherson and on the right bank of the Dnipro river.
