A sniper of the Prince Ostroh Brigade defeated the invader in a duel

A Ukrainian serviceman managed to defeat the invader in a sniper duel in the Donetsk region.

The Come Back Alive Foundation posted the video of the fight.

A video of a 30th Mechanized Brigade soldier captured a sniper duel in the Bakhmut sector.

The Russian made the first shot and almost hit the Ukrainian soldier from a distance of 1240 meters.

The Ukrainian sniper fired the second shot in the duel, but he missed on the first attempt.

“On the second attempt, he sent his opponent to hell,” the Foundation shared.

To eliminate the invader, the Ukrainian military used .338 Lapua Magnum armor-piercing rounds.

.338 has become the main sniper cartridge for military shooters at medium and long distances.

“And it is this sniper pair of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that will later receive a unique rifle, all the necessary equipment, and transportation as part of the Pure Anger project,” the Foundation noted.

Within the project’s framework, 25 sniper groups are planned to be provided with effective weapons and various auxiliary equipment.

In particular, it is planned to purchase .375 CheyTAC sniper rifles with night, day and thermal optics, bipods, and silencers.

Weapons and equipment from the project should enable Ukrainian snipers to conduct effective reconnaissance and hit targets at a distance of more than 2 km.
