Amentum to provide the Ukrainian defense industry with logistics solutions

American engineering company Amentum will provide logistics solutions to the Ukrainian defense industry.

The Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company said that it intends to establish a joint venture with Amentum Services. To this end, the parties signed a memorandum.

First of all, it regards potential cooperation in the restoration and maintenance of US-made armored vehicles.

Previously, representatives of Amentum visited Ukrainian defense companies and assessed their existing capabilities, technical base, and potential.

The Ukrainian defense industry expects new partners to help it obtain technical documentation, equipment, and spare parts.

“They will come in handy during the repair and maintenance of US-made armored combat vehicles,” the Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC said.

Amentum is a design, project management, and solution integration company.

Amentum positions itself as the world’s largest provider of ground and aviation equipment services to the US Army.

In 2023, the Pentagon hired this engineering firm to support donated military equipment abroad by providing logistics solutions.

The agreement with the Pentagon, worth up to $487 million, is to provide modernized integrated logistics and sustainment solutions and field engineering for a wide range of military equipment and systems.

The systems covered include radars, various mechanisms, vehicles, and ground support equipment.

Last year, Amentum was also awarded a $4.64 billion contract to assist the U.S. Air Force in the areas of information technology and procurement management.
