An explosion occurs at a subsidiary of Diehl Defense

A powerful explosion occurred at a subsidiary of Diehl Defense in Troisdorf.

This happened on the territory of DynITEC, a subsidiary that specializes in the production of detonators and fuses.

At about 9:32 a.m., local emergency services received a report of an explosion and fire at the Diehl Defense defense facility.

In addition, another company, DynaEnergetics, is also located at the production site.

“Rescuers found two seriously injured people at the scene. They had already left the building on their own. The rescue service and an ambulance doctor provided two employees with the assistance on the spot and then took them to the nearest hospitals by helicopter,” BILD noted.

According to emergency services, the building was heavily damaged, so rescuers were unable to get inside.

According to police’s initial findings, unlike the events that took place at the Diehl plant in Berlin-Lichterfelde, this case was an industrial accident.

Currently, Russia is conducting a large-scale operation in the European Union aimed at undermining the activities of defense companies.

First and foremost, arson attacks are carried out, as well as reconnaissance for future subversive activities, in order to get Europe to reduce military support for Ukraine and arms transfers.

Militarnyi previously reported that unidentified drones had conducted reconnaissance over the Kongsberg missile plant, where anti-ship missiles were manufactured.

The incident occurred on Friday, August 22-23, 2024, when the company’s security spotted unknown drones in the sky.
