Antonov State Enterprise establishes a Drone Center
Antonov State Enterprise is expanding the production of drones by launching a new production center.
Reuters reported on this.
The new drone center was opened to “enhance unmanned systems manufacturing capabilities and provide support to private unmanned systems producers in terms of expertise and services,” the Ukroboronprom presentation outlined.
The presentation was delivered to the Washington officials.

Antonov State Enterprise did not respond to requests for comment on the center and plans for expansion in the drone sector.
A Ukroboronprom representative declined to comment, citing security concerns.
The new Antonov Center would offer services such as experimental aerodynamic research, the creation of full-featured simulators to train drone operators, and the development of component standards.
It is noted that the presentation listed 26 functions of the new center.

Back in 2021, Militarnyi reported that Antonov State Enterprise was proactively creating the Horlytsia-2 UAV.
It is a development of the Horlytsia-1 operational and tactical unmanned aviation system.
In addition, in 2018, it was reported that Antonov was developing a strategic drone, the layout of which was presented at the AVIASVIT-XXI exhibition.
In January 2023, Ukroboronprom reported on the completion of tests of the “Az Vozdam” secret drone.
