Archer ACS destroyed enemy D-20 howitzers

Artillerymen of the 45th Artillery Brigade destroyed D-20 howitzers and enemy personnel with counter-battery fire.

The press service of the 45th Artillery Brigade published the video of the incident.

It should be noted that the destruction of enemy howitzers was a result of a joint operation with the aerial reconnaissance unit of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade.

The aerial reconnaissance unit successfully detected enemy howitzers that were camouflaged and passed the coordinates to the artillery.

The destruction of enemy artillery took place west of Kreminna, Luhansk region, at coordinates 49.046996, 38.170557 and 49.044378, 38.177101.

Archer wheel self-propelled guns manufactured by the Swedish company BAE Systems AB were involved in counter-battery fire.

With a wheeled base and a rapid-fire 155-mm/52-mm automatic-loading cannon, the artillery systems are well suited for counter-battery warfare.

The deployment time of the artillery system is 20 seconds, after which the Archer starts firing. It should be noted that the deployment of the self-propelled guns is fully automated.

Once deployed, the Archer is capable of firing 3 shots in 20 seconds and firing the entire ammunition in an automated 21-round stowage in 3 minutes.

Militarnyi previously reported that in November 2023, it was announced that the 45th Artillery Brigade received Archer 155mm wheeled self-propelled guns.

Ukrainian Archers are equipped with special Barracuda camouflage, but they do not have a remotely controlled machine gun turret.

As part of the artillery brigade, the new Swedish self-propelled guns complement the fleet of other Western artillery systems, such as the FH70 and M777.
