Soldiers of the 12th “Azov” Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard destroyed a Russian IFV with infantry during the movement.

To destroy the enemy, an FPV drone with a thermal imaging camera was used, which was transferred to the soldiers as part of Operation Unity Part II: Fireworks!

A video of the combat mission of the drone operators was published by the Come Back Alive Foundation.

In the video, it was recorded how on one of the sections of the front, a Russian, probably, infantry fighting vehicle was transporting troops that had been outside.

The Ukrainian FPV drones operator takes an enemy IFV on sight and catches up with it hitting the aft part.

After that, another Ukrainian drone records the results of the hit. Then the Russian IFV burns.

As a result of the successful combat mission of the soldiers of the Azov Brigade, probably, invaders suffered losses not only in armored vehicles, but also in the manpower that was on the IFV during the movement.

The Come Back Alive Foundation reported that to destroy the enemy, Ukrainian soldiers had used FPV drones with a thermal imaging camera, which had been acquired and transferred to defenders thanks to a joint project with United24 and Monobank called Operation Unity Part II: Fireworks!

The project was launched in December last year. Then in 3 days it was possible to accumulate more than UAH 226 000 000 for 5,000 FPV kamikaze drones and 3,000 with thermal imaging cameras for night time operations and 2,000 with daytime ones. The Come Back Alive Foundation received FPVs in March.

Strike drones with thermal imaging optics will allow the Ukrainian military to carry out operations in the darkness and destroy enemy equipment and infantry under any conditions.

Drones can fly from 12 to 20 kilometers and carry ammunition weighing up to 4 kilograms. Each drone purchased as part of the initiative is equipped with ammunition.

FPV drone models and ammunition for them are coordinated with the Ukrainian military. The Ukrainian industry produced the standardized warheads for these UAVs.
