Belarus repairs Russian combat aircraft — intelligence

Belarusian aircraft repairmen conduct maintenance of Russian combat aircraft on the territory of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The intelligence says that the Ministry of Defense of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation signed urgent contracts for the repair and maintenance of military aviation equipment.

In particular, mobile groups of employees of the JSC “558 ARP” (Baranovichi) periodically make business trips [to Russia] for the maintenance and commissioning of aviation equipment.

The repair is carried out at JSC “121 ARP” (Kubinka AB) in Russia.

It was reported that Belarusian specialists mainly perform work on combat aircraft of the MiG-29 type and their modifications.

“According to available information, the specialists of the Armed Forces of Belarus carry out work on its removal from storage and separation for further use in the war against Ukraine,” the intelligence said.

For reference: Belarusian JSC “558 ARP” is focused on the repair and modernization of aviation equipment. The company implements a program for the production of parts, assembly units and components of aviation equipment. Today, the plant manufactures more than 60 types of systems for Russian amphibious Be-200 aircraft.

JSC “558 ARP” also develops and manufactures EW protection systems, unmanned aircraft systems, organizes maintenance of equipment, is engaged in the design and creation of logistics support centers for aircraft, training of customers in the operation and repair of aviation equipment.

From August 9 to 25, joint exercises of air forces with air defense forces are held at training grounds in Belarus and Russia.

Initially, from August 9 to 11, maneuvers took place in Belarus, and from August 22 to 25 they will take place at the Russian Ashuluk training ground of the 185th Combat Training and Combat Use Center of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

The Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported that personnel, weapons, military and special equipment from air military units, air defense troops, and EW troops, as well as combat crews of military education institutions are involved in the exercises.
