Belgium could transfer the anti-tank missile systems, and possibly the NATO-standard caliber self-propelled artillery.

Militarnyi informs about this.

The local Belgian newspaper VRT News reported that the Government made a decision to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine.

“Until now, Belgian deliveries to Ukraine only included smaller items such as ammunition, helmets, bullet-proof vests, and smaller weapons. But as the war is escalating in the eastern Donbas region, a number of countries including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the Netherlands have promised bigger items. Belgium is now following in those footsteps with the fifth delivery,” the report reads.

However, it is not specified which weapons Belgium is going to hand over to Ukraine, yet, according to Le Soir, it should be Milan anti-tank systems, as well as 155-mm caliber M109 howitzers.

The Prime Minister of Belgium refused to comment on the type of weapons the country intends to hand over to Ukraine and the terms of its supply.

He also estimated the total worth of Belgian military aid to Ukraine at 76 million euros, which includes all arms supplies to the Ukrainian army since February 24.

As reported earlier, Belgium is considering the supply of 5,000 FN Herstal machine guns and 3,800 tons of fuel, as well as the protective equipment to Ukraine.
