Border guards of the “‘Pomsta'” brigade stopped the Russian assault in the Bakhmut direction.

The press service of the State Border Guard Service announced this.

At dawn, the enemy reportedly tried to storm the border guards’ positions with two tanks, five armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, and about 40 infantrymen.

Border guards elaborate that a medium-sized T-62 tank equipped with a mine trawl and blade was driving in front of the column of Russian armored vehicles, but it hit a mine and stopped.

An armored personnel carrier tried to drive around the hit vehicle, but it also exploded.

At first, artillery, including cluster munitions, and night drone-bombers were used to attack Russian infantry and armored vehicles.

At dawn, FPV drones and quadcopters with munitions took over.
