At the G7 summit, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson will urge the leaders of France and Germany to strengthen their support for Ukraine.

As per Independent, this was shared by Boris Johnson’s official spokesman. He noted that he would be appealing to Emanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz.

“That’s what the prime minister will be asking at the G7 and Nato summit as he encourages fellow leaders to increase their economic, military and political support for Ukraine,” he said.

In addition, the UK is ready to provide Ukraine with another £429 million ($525 million) in the form of credit guarantees. According to Boris Johnson, this money would be directed to resolve fears that funding could run out by the autumn.

They say that Boris Johnson will insist that the leaders of the G7 and NATO countries abandon the offer of “bad peace” for Ukraine.

“Now is not the time to settle and encourage Ukrainians to agree to bad peace, to peace, for which they would be offered to abandon parts of their territory in exchange for a ceasefire,” he said the day before.

One of the main topics of negotiations will be the de-blockade of Ukrainian ports. They emphasize that Turkey is trying to mediate between the UN, Ukraine, and Russia to establish a corridor in the Black Sea. At the same time, the Kremlin wants to first lift some Western sanctions to facilitate the export of grain and fertilizers.

“We are working with Turks and other European friends and allies to see what we can do,” Boris Johnson said before flying to negotiate in Germany.

During his latest official visit to Kyiv on June 17, Boris Johnson proposed an expanded training program for Ukrainian servicemen in the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom military can be providing training for 10 thousand Ukrainian soldiers every 120 days.

It was emphasized that each military member would be undergoing a three-week training, which will teach combat skills on the frontline, basic medical training, cybersecurity, and tactics to use the explosives.
