Bulgaria will participate in the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Ukraine (EUMAM UA) training mission for the Ukrainian military.

The Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria reported about this.

The country’s government reached this option based on the Bulgarian parliament’s decision to provide military aid to Ukraine.

Bulgaria will train combat medics on its territory under the European Union Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM UA).

“Within the framework of the Bulgarian participation, in agreement with the Ukrainian side, it is planned to conduct one-module training for the training of combat medics (up to 15 servicemen per month, up to 4 modules during the year) on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria,” the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

On November 3, the Bulgarian parliament passed a decision to provide military aid to Ukraine. Now the country’s government has to specify within a month what military aid Bulgaria may provide to Ukraine.

Vitaliy Moskalenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, said that Ukraine has already submitted a list of about 30 positions that it could receive.

First of all, this regards air defense systems, such as the S-300. Also, according to the ambassador of Ukraine, the issue of providing mortars, self-propelled artillery and ammunition remains relevant.
