Chemical weapons: NATO countries set to give Ukraine equipment for protection
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is expected to agree to provide Ukraine with additional support including cyber security equipment and supplies to protect against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
The Militarnyi reported about it.
Biden also called the threat of Russia’s use of chemical weapons in Ukraine a real threat.
“I expect allies will agree to provide additional support including equipment to help Ukraine protect against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats,” Stoltenberg told journalists in Brussels on Wednesday.
U.S. President Joe Biden noted that the threat of the use of chemical weapons by Russian troops in Ukraine is real.
He said this on Wednesday, during an approach to journalists before boarding the presidential helicopter, Ukrinform’s own correspondent reports.
“I think it’s a real threat,” the White House chief said in response to a question about the threat of a chemical attack.
