Chinese military units will undergo military training in Russia.

The Ministry of Defense of China (PRC) reported about this.

The People’s Liberation Army of China will soon send its troops to Russia to participate in the “East-2022” exercises.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the joint exercises will take place in accordance with the annual cooperation plan between the Chinese and Russian militaries and the consensus of both sides.

“The Chinese side has sent its personnel to participate in these exercises, the purpose of which is to deepen pragmatic and friendly cooperation with the armed forces of the participating countries, increase the level of strategic coordination of all participating parties, and strengthen the ability to resist various security threats,” the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China said.

They emphasized that the dispatch of Chinese military units “has nothing to do with the current international and regional situation.”

It is noted that India, Belarus, Tajikistan, Mongolia and other countries will also take part in the military exercises.

In July, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that it was preparing for the “East-2022” military exercises, which will be held at the training grounds of the Eastern Military District.

The strategic command and staff exercise will take place on August 30-September 5.

“In the period from August 30 to September 5, 2022, with the troops of the Eastern Military District under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the “East-2022″ strategic command and staff exercise will be held,” the statement said.

It was stated that in addition to the forces of the district, airborne troops, Long-range aviation (strategic aviation) and military transport aviation will be involved in the military exercise. Training will take place at 13 training grounds.
