Ukrainian benefactors will invest heavily in the deployment of communications and command in the newly launched units of the Defense Forces.

The Come Back Alive Foundation said that it will invest more than UAH 200 million in the project.

The funds will be invested in strengthening communication, situational awareness and controllability among the newly launched brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thousands of digital secure radios, various antennas, laptops, monitors, cameras, batteries, generators, Starlinks, kilometers of cables – hundreds of items have already been purchased, bought, or transferred today.

The quality of communication, management and situational awareness largely depends on the outcome of any operation – whether it is offensive or defense.

“That’s the cornerstone. And this is in what you need to invest in firsthand to realize the potential of all the Western equipment and weapons that we receive,” stated Taras Chmut, Director of the Foundation.

This week, three units received from the Foundation network equipment, tracking means and equipment for command posts for UAH 4,779,518.

The Foundation transferred to the military the following items:

  • 24 portable charging stations;
  • 22 capacitive batteries;
  • 21 laptops, 15 TVs, 9 monitors, 7 media players, 17 HDMI cables and 4 printers for arranging command posts;
  • 16 Starlink terminals, 10 routers, 4 switches, 2 radio scanners and 2 sets of connectors and 11 tools for working with network equipment;
  • 16 powerful CCTV cameras;
  • 11 generators (diesel and inverter), as well as 7 voltage converters and 8 injectors;
  • 8 hard drives and 28 memory cards;
  • 3 mobile surveillance systems for monitoring the situation at the front line from a safe position;
  • 6.4 km of diverse cable for debugging internal networks of communication units.

Now dozens of new combat units are being formed in Ukraine, to form a “striking fist” for the liberation of Ukrainian territories.

“The state and partners will provide weapons, uniforms, and protective equipment and buy everything else. But not everyone. And here the volunteer movement will frame the shoulder,” added Taras Chmut.

Ukraine’s major counteroffensive against the Russian occupation forces is expected in the second half of the spring. The day before, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke about the urgency of the offensive, saying that “Ukraine cannot waste time.”

“We must quickly and fully deliver on our promises. This involves delivering our armored vehicles to the battlefield and ensuring that Ukrainian soldiers receive the training, spare parts and technical support they need to use these new systems as quickly as possible,” Austin emphasized.
