Darkstar invests EUR 600 thousand in Ukrainian-Estonian battlefield intelligence startup Farsight Vision

Darkstar, a defense-tech startup support project, has invested 600 thousand euros in Farsight Vision, a Ukrainian-Estonian battlefield intelligence startup.

This is stated in the project’s press release.

“The last 2.5 years have radically changed modern warfare. Drones have taken a prominent place on the battlefield, not only for combat operations but also for providing operational information about changes at the front. However, thousands of specialists are needed daily to manually process this huge amount of rapidly changing information,” the statement reads.

Farsight Vision has developed an intelligence and situational awareness platform that effortlessly combines and stitches all this video footage into a “digital twin.”

This solves many problems in mission planning (e.g., unfamiliar terrain, logistics, weapon placement, etc.).

It significantly reduces the time required to process this data from days to minutes, increasing the number of both available and successful missions.

“Rapid intelligence data analytics is the most critical element for any successful military decision. Farsight’s platform is already combat-proven – it helped Ukraine’s army to deliver historic wins in the last few months!,” said Darkstar co-founder Ragnar Sass.

The platform has reportedly received positive feedback from the Ukrainian military.
