The Australian government is preparing a new $100 million military aid package for Ukraine.

This became known during the visit of the Vice Prime Minister of Australia Richard Marles to Lviv.

The military aid package from Australia will be designed to purchase a large number of MANPADS worth 50 million.

Also, 30 million will be directed to drones within the “Drone Coalition” and the rest – to equipment, in particular helmets, inflatable boats, shoes, fire masks and power generators.

In addition, the Australian government will transfer from its composition unknown air-to-ground ammunition. Perhaps these will be bombs, or other missiles and weapons.

“Today, with Mr. Richard Marles, we discussed a wide range of strategic cooperation issues. I am sure that our partnership is long-term and has huge prospects for development,” said Denys Shmyhal.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Australian government has already allocated more than $655 million, of which $540 million is for military support.

Also in the framework of military assistance, Australia handed over to Ukraine 56 M113AS4 armored personnel carriers, 120 Bushmaster armored vehicles, six M777 155-mm towed howitzers and much more equipment.

In addition, the country supports by joining various initiatives aimed at maintaining Ukraine’s defense capability.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that Australia would join the Coalition of Drones led by Latvia and the United Kingdom, which was designed to provide the Ukrainian Defense Forces with drones.

“Today, we also announce that Australia will participate in the drone coalition, which is being led by both the United Kingdom and Latvia. This is a really important opportunity for us to continue making our contribution to the effort to have Ukraine stay the course and be able to resolve this conflict on its terms,” Marles said.

In addition, the Australian Army rotates and increases the number of instructors who will be involved in the training of Ukrainian troops as part of Operation Kudu in the United Kingdom.
