Due to military setbacks, Russia is switching to bombing tactics

War with Russia

Russia has changed its tactics of hostilities in Ukraine this week. This conclusion was reached by US officials and NATO officials, CNN reports.

The Russian army moved on to “bombing cities just for conquest.” This approach means the increase of civilian casualties and destruction.

This is a very brute approach, – claimed the American official.

This is the typical Russian approach that was used during the wars in Chechnya and Syria. The Russians are forced to resort to primitive inhumane tactics due to a series of military setbacks on land and resource depletion.

Based on his sources, the head of Bellingcat, Christo Grozev, believes that the Russians have already used 92% of their resources focused on attacking Ukraine.

“My comment regarding resources concerns the supplies available in Ukraine. You can put more (resources for the war in Ukraine), and more will be supplied, but this is a logistical nightmare, – explained Grozev.”

Another reaction to Russia’s setbacks in Ukraine is the intention to send another 1,000 mercenaries from Russian private military companies such as “Wagner” to Ukraine.

One of the key tasks for Ukraine at this stage of Russia’s resistance is to create a no-fly zone over the territory of the country. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky rigidly criticized NATO for refusing to act immediately.

“Today, the Alliance’s leadership gave the green light for further bombing of Ukrainian towns and villages, refusing to make a no-fly zone. You could have closed the skies, but… I don’t know who you can protect, even if you can protect your own countries — countries of the alliance, – said the Supreme Commander.”

In the meantime, the vast majority of American voters, 74%, support the creation of a no-fly zone over Ukraine. This is according to the polls released on March 5, 2022 by Reuters.

A campaign is under way in the United States, during which voters are sending requests to the authorities to close the skies over Ukraine. The government’s responses, however, are still vague – they are more about supporting Ukraine in another way.

It is likely that this topic – the closure of airspace over Ukraine – will be the subject of today’s parley between Volodymyr Zelensky and US senators. All members of the Senate were invited. It will take place at 16:30 Kyiv time.
