Estonia delivered military aid to Ukraine in the form of missiles for American Javelin anti-tank missile systems.

Militarnyi informs with reference to the Estonia’s Ambassador to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk.

According to Kuusk, Javelin will be immediately handed over to the country’s troops on the field.

He did not disclose the number of Javelin missiles that arrived in Ukraine.

“Just delivering Javelin anti-tank missiles from Estonia to our Ukrainian friends,” Kuusk wrote.

Information about Estonia’s plans to hand over missiles to Javelin systems appeared in December 2021.

It was also reported then that Estonia intended to hand over Finnish 122-millimeter howitzers to Ukraine.

But before the final decision was made, it was necessary to obtain permission from the country of origin of missiles – the United States, as well as from former owners of howitzers – Finland and Germany.

In January 2022, the United States approved permission for the Baltic States to supply American weapons to Ukraine.

In February, Stinger MANPADS arrived in Ukraine from Lithuania. In addition, the Government of Latvia has decided to hand over Stinger man-portable air-defense systems to Ukraine.

In addition, Ukraine expects to supply Javelin anti-tank systems from Lithuania, after the visit of Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.

As was reported earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said on February 18 that Ukraine had already received more than 2,000 tonnes of aid from international partners in the form of modern weapons, ammunition and armor, and this was far from over.
