An explosion took place on the railway in occupied Crimea.
The Russian media reported on this.
It is reported that several railway wagons of the freight train derailed as a result of the incident.
According to Telegram channels, the railway line was blown up in the Simferopol district of temporarily occupied Crimea on the morning of Thursday, May 18.
Later, the adviser to the head of the Russian occupation administration of Crimea reported that five train cars with grain had derailed due to the detonation of the railway.

It is reported that the explosion occurred near the village of Chystenke.

Trains on the Simferopol-Sevastopol route are also currently suspended.
It is stated that the railway workers have already started repair works on the damaged railway track.
This is not the first time that the railway line has been damaged in temporarily occupied Crimea.

In February of this year, the explosion took place in the Bakhchysarai district. This led to a delay in the train traffic on the section between Simferopol and Sevastopol.

As a result of the explosion, part of the railway was damaged near the village of Poshtove.
The event took place 12 km away from the Simferopol station.
