The soldiers of the unmanned systems battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade struck an enemy MT-LB tracked tractor with a large number of troops on board.

The Battalion’s press service released the video of the incident.

The video captures an enemy MT-LB with a large anti-drone “grill” that extends the entire length of the combat vehicle hull.

Particular attention is drawn to the distinctive “cap,” mounted at an angle and most likely intended to protect the combat vehicle and troops from attacks from the upper frontal hemisphere.

However, the anti-drone grill did not protect the tractor from the Ukrainian FPV drone, which hit the side of the MT-LB.

After the defeat, the enemy troops rushed from the side of the vehicle and tried to take shelter, but the drone operators of the unmanned systems battalion started the systematic destruction of infantry with the help of FPV drones.

One fighter who is armed with a hunting rifle can be spotted among the enemy infantrymen. Due to the quality of the video, a specific model is difficult to identify, but it can be assumed that this is TOZ-34.

Russian drone “hunter”

Militarnyi has already reported that the Russians are using TOZ-34 rifles to counter drones.

The Russian was armed with a double-barreled hunting rifle TOZ-34M with a barrel of unknown caliber (there are 4 versions), which has a bracket for installing optical sights.

The Russian “drone hunter” carried a Bulat drone signal detector and a portable electronic warfare system.

It is not known whether this is a one-off decision or whether it will be introduced as a permanent or temporary position in the Russian military.

At the time, Militarnyi assumed that the main task of such a “hunter” was to act in the rear, where the probability of fire contact was minimal. At the front, he would operate as part of a group armed with standard rifle weapons.
