Ukrainian Armed Forces have already received French AMX-10RC armored fighting vehicles.

Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of Defense of France, said that the pledged armored fighting vehicles “just arrived” in Ukraine.

Lecornu did not specify exactly how many AMX-10RC vehicles arrived in Ukraine but noted that some of these vehicles were already sent to the front.

“I am looking at options on how we can conduct the second wave of deliveries. I am preparing a series of decisions for the President of the republic, as the Ukrainians are using these armored fighting vehicles very skillfully,” Lecornu emphasized.

In February, the Minister as well did not disclose how many of these vehicles Ukraine would receive to “not provide any strategic information for Russia.”

At the beginning of January, it was reported that Ukraine will receive the AMX-10RC armored fighting vehicles. France also promised to transfer ACMAT Bastion armored personnel carriers.

It was also reported in February that France delivered the first 14 AMX-10 RC armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

It is noted that Ukrainian crews have previously undergone training to operate these vehicles. They were trained by French instructors at the cavalry school in Saumur.

According to the sources of Army Recognition, the Ukrainian military should receive 30 AMX-10 RC.

The French AMX-10 RC armored fighting vehicle is manufactured by GIAT. These vehicles have high mobility due to their wheelbases.

They can be used for reconnaissance missions and provide infantry fire support in combat. The armored fighting vehicle has a 6×6 wheel arrangement and is equipped with a hydropneumatic suspension system with variable ground clearance and inclination. Therefore, a combat vehicle can effectively disguise itself in the terrain.

It is armed with a 105/47 F2 MECA 105mm rifled tank gun, capable of firing at a range of up to 2000 meters. The gun’s armament includes its own ammunition of 105×527R caliber, including APFSDS, HEAT-FS, and high-explosive and fragmentation ammunition.
