Ukraine had recently received American HIMARS rocket systems.

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, released a photo of this weapon.

Commander-in-Chief had a telephone conversation with General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the British Defence Staff, last night.

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi informed his American and British colleagues about the operational situation.

As of today, the area of active hostilities goes from the north of the Kharkiv region until the left bank of the Dnipro in the area of Vasylivka. The most intense hostilities are conducted in the north of the Luhansk and Kharkiv regions. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the situation is extremely difficult yet controlled.

“A fierce struggle continues on our soil, the scale of which the world has not seen since World War II. We have no right to pass this war over to our children.

The enemy must be destroyed here and now, otherwise, it will not stop. And we can do that. Our people are ready to protect their own nation and own children at the expense of their own lives, but we need more weapons and ammunition,” General Valeriy Zaluzhny said.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hopes that together with the partners, Ukraine will be able to overcome the aggressor and prevent the spread of this armed conflict to other countries.

In his post, General Zaluzhnyi released the photos of HIMARS rocket systems that Ukraine recently received from the United States. They have already been deployed to the frontline.

As previously reported, on June 23, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced that American HIMARS systems have arrived in Ukraine.

Recently, the United States announced another $450 million drawdown for Ukraine to meet the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ critical needs. The package will include four additional HIMARS systems and 105-mm artillery ammunition.

M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) uses a 6-wheel chassis of an M1140 FMTV tactical truck. The system can be used as a rocket launcher with ammunition of different ranges, and as a tactical missile system.
