Germany will transfer additional weapons to Ukraine. Those will include MLRS and artillery.

This regards specifically the MARS II MLRS and PzH 2000 self-propelled guns.

The statement covering this was published by the German Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

“Ramstein meeting at a special time: Russian missile attacks and partial mobilization, mock referendums, Ukrainian counteroffensive. We are coordinating our ongoing support. In the next few weeks, more PzH 2000 and MARS II will be transferred to Ukraine,” the message reads.

However, it is not specified whether this covers the already announced assistance, or it will include the additional weapons.

Today, October 12, a regular Ramstein format meeting of defense ministers is taking place in Brussels, where they discuss assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia.

In addition, after massive missile attacks on Ukraine, the United States and Germany promised to accelerate the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine.

In particular, the first of the four IRIS-T systems has already arrived in Ukraine.

At the end of September, the German government agreed to transfer 4 additional PzH-2000 self-propelled guns to Ukraine.

Also in September, the transfer of two more Mars II MLRS and about 200 GMLRS missiles was reported.
