In the Kyiv region, a downed Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber had been identified.

Photos featuring the wreckage of the fighter jet were first released in early March.
Recently, the hull number of the downed plane was established.

The Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber was shot down by Ukraine’s Air Defense had the tail number RF-81251 (31 Red).
The wreckage of a Russian Air Force plane crashed near the village of Borodyanka in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region.

The fighter-bomber belonged to the 277th Bomber Aviation Regiment of Russia.
In 2016, the 277th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 303rd Mixed Aviation Division of the 11th Red Banner Army Air Force and Air Defense of the Eastern Military District received the Su-34 bombers.

Later, the 277th Bomber Regiment was reformed into the Third Combat Regiment of the Russian Air Force, which was rearmed with these Su-34 aircrafts.
These aircrafts were constructed at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant (a branch of JSC Sukhoi Company).
For reference: Su-34 is a front-line bomber. It is designed to carry out accurate missile and bomb strikes on enemy ground targets in operational and tactical depth.

Serial production of the aircraft is currently taking place at the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Production Association.
