Russian invader troops are preparing to defend the captured frontiers.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning report.

Currently, the Russian invaders are preparing to build a multi-echelon defense to maintain the occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Thus, as of May 14, the Russian army continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

As of now, the main goal of Russians is to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions, and to ensure the stability of the ground corridor with the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea.

On May 13, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced that Ukraine was entering the long-term phase of the war.

Ukrainians stand before the extremely difficult weeks of the full-scale Russian invasion.

“We [Ukraine – ed.] forced [the Russian Federation – ed.] to reduce the scale of targets to the operational-tactical level. Amid this, we are entering a new – long-term – phase of the war. To win in it, it is necessary to meticulously plan the resources, avoid mistakes, plan our forces in a way that the enemy, eventually, would not keep standing,” Reznikov said.

The enemy continues to attack the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. It is firing along the entire line of contact and in the depth of defense of the Ukrainian troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are defending their frontiers and conducting counteroffensive actions in certain directions, continuing to push back the enemy.

Recently, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed several units of vehicles and armored equipment of the Russian invaders, as well as over a dozen enemy personnel.

Also, some units of the Zaporizhzhia Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces managed to move forward and gain a foothold at the new positions.
