The Justice Initiative Foundation (JIF) was established in Ukraine. This is a non-governmental organization which in cooperation with the special services will collect detailed information about Russians who committed war crimes in Ukraine. And also will contribute to their conviction and punishment.

This was announced by Stanislav Aseyev, Ukrainian writer and journalist and JIF`s founder, who in 2017-2019 was a prisoner of the Donetsk prison “Izolyatsia.”

“The idea is simple: no one can come to Ukraine, rape women, torture men and go back to the Russian Federation, thinking that he will get away with it,” Aseyev explained the idea.

According to Aseyev, the organization will work closely with the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Foundation’s public team also included human rights reporter Janine di Giovanni, Ukrainian scientist Ihor Kozlovsky, FBI veteran Karen A. Greenway, reporter Andrii Dubchak, paramedic and volunteer Yulia “Taira” Paevska, lawyer and war veteran Masi Nayem.

The foundation will collect information about specific war criminals and form profiles for each of them.

The profile may be created based on the decision of the Ukrainian law enforcement agency, or another country, as in the case of suspects in the downing of MH17.

So far, the site already contains profiles of Igor Girkin (the leader of the terrorists who captured Sloviansk in April 2014), Anzor Bisaev (commander of the Rosgvardiya`s Akhmat unit), the leaders and personnel of Izolyatsia prison, officers and enlisted men of the Russian Armed Forces who are suspected of torture and rape.

The Justice Initiative will offer whistleblowers a cash reward for valuable data. It can be obtained either on PayPal or on the crypto wallet, which guarantees privacy.

“JIF is not created for a year, not for two, but for decades: we understand that we will be looking for these stories as long as they exist. But when Russia reaches the level of 1990, and the Russians will stand in long lines for moonshine, cursing the already dead Putin – the money for this idea on the site will be a fortune for them. And we must start now,” Aseyev shared a vision of the prospect of the initiative.

Similar activities in Israel were carried out by the “Nazi hunter.” Simon Wiesenthal and his Jewish Historical Documentation Centre (Vienna, Austria). In particular, Wiesenthal was able to organize work that made it possible to identify Adolf Eichmann, high-ranking Gestapo officer. After that, in 1960, he was brought to trial in Israel during the special operation of Mossad “Garibaldi.”
