The KOLO Charitable Foundation has donated a Shark reconnaissance UAV to the 92nd Assault Brigade.

This was reported on the Foundation’s official page on X.

The drone was transferred to the brigade’s intelligence officers, who will actively use it to detect the enemy and coordinate the units’ actions.

The transferred drone is an upgraded version with improved specifications.

In particular, the onboard battery was replaced, which increased the time in the air to seven hours instead of the standard four.

In addition to the battery, the drone received a longer wing, positively impacting its autonomy and flight duration.

For reconnaissance purposes, the drone with a daytime camera has the ability to record video in Full HD and at 30x magnification.

The UAV provides fully autonomous reconnaissance, surveillance, clear identification, and recognition from a long distance and at high altitude.

In addition, the military version is equipped with electronic security features that make it highly resistant to electronic warfare (EW) attacks.

The UAVs are manufactured by Ukrspecsystems, which claims the following specifications in its standard version:

  • Up to 4 hours of average flight endurance;
  • Up to 80 km communication range;
  • 3000 m maximum flight altitude;
  • Up to 13.5 kg takeoff weight;
  • Up to 300 km range (route length);
  • Short deployment time;
  • Low cost of operation.

The unmanned aircraft system itself consists of:

  • ground control station;
  • a drone with a daytime vision camera;
  • a drone with a night vision camera;
  • a launching catapult.

Militarnyi previously reported that the drone operators of the 54th Mechanized Brigade received a Shark aerial reconnaissance system.
