In Lithuania, plywood prefabricated beds used in the combat zone and in mobile hospitals, are being produced.

The bed can be assembled in less than two minutes without the use of nails. No instructions or tools are required for the assembly.

LRT reported about this.

It is noted that Ukraine has ordered 30 thousand units of such beds for military and civilians.

“The main tool is hands. Take it, assemble it. All parts are folded quickly, they are reliable. Soldiers, mothers, children and older people can sleep on these beds,” says Vytas Liudžius, Head of DUV.

It takes two hours to make one bed, its cost is 150 euros.

The initiators of the project have already sent 75 pieces of furniture to Ukraine.

“They took the beds to the battlefield, to the front, where people had been sleeping on cardboard. They then sent us photos where they were photographed on these beds. People looked happy. Very warm sensations,” said Laimis Kvederavičius, Head of the LITUA project.

Furniture manufacturers say they could make many more units, but there are not enough materials. Now plywood for making beds is transferred to Lithuanians by a Latvian company.

The initiators of the project note that new orders for the manufacture of 30,000 beds are to be made in 2 months, for this purpose a special support fund was created.
