Luxembourg provided armaments to Ukraine’s army estimated at 50 million euros

Luxembourg has provided the Ukrainian army with arms estimated at 50 million euros.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel during the Donors Conference for Aid for Ukraine, which is taking place in Warsaw, Ukrinform reports.

In addition to humanitarian aid, Luxembourg has allocated a total of € 100 million for the reception of refugees at the national level.

“Luxembourg has supported the Ukrainian army with defense weapons worth 50 million euros,” Xavier Bettel said.

According to Bettel, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Luxembourg has also allocated 3 million euros in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Luxembourg also delivered 50 tons of medical and firefighting equipment.

In a video address at the Donors conference, the Prime Minister also said that Luxembourg had provided an additional € 1 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine with a focus on child protection and demining.

“We will continue to work with all our partners to respond to the global consequences of the war and with a view to further renovation of Ukraine,” Bettel said.

The High-Level International Donors Conference for Ukraine is being held in Warsaw.

The event was initiated by the Prime Ministers of Poland and Sweden Mateusz Morawiecki and Magdalena Andersson.

The purpose of the conference is to raise funds for the growing humanitarian needs of Ukraine.

The partners of the event are the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
