Powerful explosions erupted near Klintsy, Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. A fire broke out.

Photos and videos of the incident popped up on social media, InformNapalm reports.

On June 11, a fire broke out at a military facility in the Bryansk region of Russia.

At around 6 am, a local military unit in Klintsy went up in flames.

According to local residents, the military unit in question stores equipment that arrived for repairs from Ukraine.

Local residents witnessed thick smoke in the sky visible for miles.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but according to locals it was preceded by a loud explosion. This was evidenced by social media posts from eyewitnesses.

There are some reports that previously relocated from Ukraine’s battlefields to Klintsy vehicles suffered serious damages.

Among those are tanks, armored vehicles, and other military equipment that suffered combat damage and required repair and restoration.

First responders and 9 units of firefighting equipment are currently working to put out the fire.

Klintsy is a city of regional subordination in Russia. It is the administrative center of the Klintsy district in the Bryansk region. The city is located almost 50 km away from the border with Ukraine and 160 kilometers from Bryansk.

The Bryansk region borders the Chernihiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine.
