More than 30 strike drones attacked Moscow
Several dozen strike drones attempted to attack facilities in Moscow.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says air defense forces have detected at least 32 strike drones.
The drones were spotted in the urban districts of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye, and Kolomna.
The Russian capital has a powerful air defense, which immediately began firing anti-aircraft missiles at drones.
“At the moment, 32 drones that were flying to Moscow have been destroyed,” the mayor of Moscow claimed.
Due to the attacks at Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports, the Carpet Plan was announced. Departing and arriving flights will be delayed.
Later, the same restrictions were introduced at Sheremetyevo Airport.
Local residents shared about several fires in their Telegram accounts.
In particular, the publication “Ostrozhno, Moscow” publishes many videos capturing flying drones, the moment one of them was destroyed, and the aftermath of the falling debris.
The Ukrainian military has not yet commented on the reports of the attack by the drones. Moscow and the region have previously experienced similar attacks, but the current one was one of the most massive since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Drone attacks on Russian regions have become almost daily. Ukraine rarely officially comments on the attacks, but sources in the intelligence services usually say that they are operations of the SSU and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
Last night, attack drones also attacked a military facility in Bryansk, Russia. The Russians reported 14 strike drones in the skies over the region.
