Several NATO member countries have committed to providing the Ukrainian military with winter uniforms.

European Pravda reports about this with reference to the German Spiegel.

According to the publication, at the end of July, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov wrote a letter to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

In this letter, Reznikov called to aid Ukraine by providing winter uniforms and winter tents for 200,000 soldiers.

Since then, NATO allies have been exploring the available ammunition in their depots so that Ukrainians could fight against the Russian invaders despite the cold season.

NATO confirmed that the Alliance maintains contacts with its members to allocate a winter aid package for Ukraine.

In particular, it includes warm uniforms, winter shoes, and winter tents.

A few weeks after receiving the request from Kyiv, the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland have already promised to provide the equipment.

According to preliminary data from the NATO headquarters, there is currently a possibility to cover the needs of approximately 50% of the Ukrainian servicemen.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian servicemen will receive military uniforms and winter clothing from Denmark.

On September 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Jeppe Kofod, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark.

He thanked the government and the Prime Minister of Denmark for the political, financial, and armed support of Ukraine during the war with the Russian Federation.
