NGO Aerorozvidka launches the project to protect Defense Forces information systems
Aerorozvidka NGO launches the project “Cyber Resistance,” which should protect the information systems of the military from enemy attacks and introduce the principles of cybersecurity.
This is stated in the NGO’s message.
It is emphasized that the Ukrainian military uses dozens of programs, applications, and services that allow them to provide information and situational awareness. This improves the interaction between units and allows for better use of existing weapons.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine use digital solutions at both strategic and tactical levels. Therefore, the enemy is constantly resorting to cyberterrorism.

That is why NGO Aerorozvidka is launching the “Cyber Resistance” project.
“Our first step is to provide FIDO security keys to all users of the Delta situational awareness system of the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This is one of the most commonly used systems in the military. With access to the Delta, the security and defense forces of Ukraine can quickly and effectively identify and reveal the enemy,” the statement said.
Therefore, Delta users will be the first to receive the first FIDO security keys. To do this, they need to read the instructions in the system and fill out a questionnaire.
“The launch of such a project is an additional step in improving the level of security and cyber protection of the Delta system. This will significantly complicate the enemy’s attempts to compromise the system as a whole and will, in particular, protect the information space of each user from information leakage and various cyber-attacks. The FIDO2 standard is the most modern standard of user authentication recommended by the FIDO Alliance and the World Wide Web Consortium, which confirms its reliability and security,” Ruslan Prilipko, Head of the IT Department of the NGO Aerorozvidka, explains.

The FIDO security key is a two-factor authentication tool to access a variety of systems and applications. The security key is used as an addition to a password – the second factor of user verification. Major operating systems and browsers support the key. Passwords entered and saved by the users are easily stolen through phishing, malware, and other types of attacks. The physical security key, as the second authentication factor, increases privacy as it is never stored on the user’s server or computer. At the same time, if the key is stolen, it will be impossible to log into the account only with it.
The Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Nova Poshta, Yubico, and Hideez are the partners in this project.
