Norway will contribute to the training of the Ukrainian servicemen in Great Britain.

NRK reported about this.

Bjørn Arild Gram, Norwegian Defense Minister announced this in Copenhagen at the donor conference on support for Ukraine.

More than 20 countries participated in the Conference of Northern European Allies in Copenhagen to support Ukraine at the level of Ministers of Defense or other high-ranking representatives.

“Ukrainian forces are in dire need of further training and education. In Norway, the British initiative to train the Ukrainian military in Great Britain has positive evaluations. We will participate as instructors in this basic training of soldiers, much like some other countries,” the Norwegian Minister of Defense said.

Last month, Norway handed 14 IVECO LAV III armored patrol vehicles to Ukraine. At the beginning of June, it was reported that Ukraine received 22 M109 155mm tracked self-propelled howitzers from Norway.

Norway had also launched a fundraising campaign to buy the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 strike drone for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Previously, Denmark announced that it will join the training team of the Ukrainian servicemen in Great Britain.

The Danish Ministry of Defense emphasized that Ukraine still needs support in its fight against a full-scale Russian invasion, thus Denmark is increasing its participation in the military training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that Denmark will participate in a British-led training project with 130 Danish soldiers, who will act as instructors in various areas of training. Together with the training in Britain, Denmark will offer to train Ukrainian officers on its soil.

Previously, Finland, Sweden, and Canada have announced their participation in training programs for the Ukrainian soldiers in Great Britain.
