The occupation authorities in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are trying to forcefully mobilize the local population.

This was reported on September 30, at the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“In Kherson, cases of detention of local men of draft age have become more frequent. After a superficial determination of suitability for military service, they are sent to equip units that are planned to be used in the area of hostilities. In Berdiansk, employees of some enterprises who remained working in the occupied territory were forcibly mobilized,” the report said.

There is also information that reinforced National Guard of Russia units have arrived in the occupied territories. They may be brought in to quell possible resistance from the local population.

As previously reported, in temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian invaders were instructed to first mobilize the Crimean Tatars. The plan is to deploy them to the areas of the most intense hostilities.

In its summary, the General Staff noted that on September 27, two thousand mobilized people from Crimea were sent from Sevastopol to the Kherson region.

In the occupied territories of Ukraine, men who obtained Russian citizenship are served with summonses. They will be involved in the armed forces of the aggressor country.

As previously reported, on September 21, 2022, Russia declared partial mobilization.
