Paratroopers prevented invaders from gaining a foothold in the village of Kostiantynivka
Ukrainian paratroopers repulsed a Russian assault on the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
The 79th Air Assault Brigade said that the Russian invaders had used armored personnel carriers and tanks to assault.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Russian command has been trying to capture the villages of Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka for a long time.
The recent Russian attack was on the positions of paratroopers and the 471st Infantry Battalion.
The movements of the Russian armored group were constantly monitored by Ukrainian reconnaissance drones, which adjusted their fire on the invaders.
The video shows that several tracked armored personnel carriers with troops managed to break through to the outskirts of the village of Kostiantynivka.
Russian troops tried to land near the destroyed houses, but Ukrainian strikes forced the invaders to turn around and leave the village.
Ukrainian troops also managed to hit one tank and three armored vehicles in the sector.
“Enemy losses amounted to one tank and three armored vehicles. Our drone pilots went on a “safari” after the surviving Russian infantry with their drones,” the paratroopers said.
Ukrainian attack drone operators managed to eliminate eight invaders and wounded the same number.
The Russian command has been trying to capture the positions of the 79th Air Assault Brigade near the villages of Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka for a long time.
Despite these assaults, the paratroopers continue to hold their positions near the village and destroy a significant amount of Russian armor. The village is now almost completely destroyed in heavy fighting.
