Pereyaslav reconnaissance vessel returned to service after dock repairs

After dock repairs at the Mykolayiv Shipyard, the small reconnaissance ship A512 Pereyaslav entered the service.

Militarnyi informs with reference to “Mykolayiv – the city of ships.”

During such repairs, the ship is restored to the shell plating, the structure of the hull and tanks, screw-stern and anchor-mooring devices.

Also, the systems of the main engine and electromechanical system are subject to restoration.

“We wish the ship and crew fair seas and a following wind! And come for repairs on time, according to the regulations, in order to ensure no-failure operation,” the report said.

Recall that in September 2021, the reconnaissance ship Pereyaslav (A512) was delivered to the floating dock of the Mykolayiv Shipyard.

Together with the reconnaissance ship, the ambulance vessel Sokal (A782) was delivered to the floating dock.

In November, the small reconnaissance ship “Pereyaslav” underwent a dock repair in Mykolayiv.

Small reconnaissance ship “Pereyaslav” (A512) of the project of 1824B, was built at the shipyard “Baltics” in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Launched in 1986.

During the division of the USSR Black Sea Fleet on 28 November 1995, the ship was transferred to the complement of Naval Forces of Ukraine and returned to the place of its preliminary deployment in the military port of Ochakiv city. On 1 December the Ukrainian naval flag was raised. In 1997, the ship was named Pereyaslav and assigned hull number U512.
