Reznikov presented the new Inhul signals intelligence station
Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, showcased Ukrainian made RPS-7 Inhul signals intelligence station.
The Minister published the video of it on his Twitter page.
According to him, it is capable of detecting enemy radars, air defense systems, and aircraft at a long distance.
One of the brigades of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is currently testing it prior to its official adoption.
The manufacturer provided the test product free of charge.
The plan is to purchase the RPS-7 Inhul after testing.
Technical specifications of the product are not disclosed.
The video notes that the station “saw” the Il-20 at a distance of 250 kilometers. It also spotted the Il-22 and the operation of the Zoopark counter-battery radar.
For comparison, the Plastun-RP-3000 SIGINT station can detect targets at a distance of up to 15 kilometers.
According to one of the representatives of the manufacturer, the station detected the operation of enemy tactical aviation in the context of GPS signals jamming.
In addition, the video notes that the station spotted the work of the Osa and Tor SAMs, which they further tried to destroy by the forces of the 44th Artillery Brigade.
The new station has a much lower cisual mast compared to the Plastun-RP-3000 station.
