A prototype of the latest Panzerjäger 4×4 armored vehicle from Rheinmetall was spotted on a German highway.

User Junsupreme posted the photos of the equipment on X.

The armored vehicle was shown relatively recently during the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition, which took place in France in late June.

Optionally, the Panzerjäger can be made on 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 wheeled chassis, and Rheinmetall offers customers the option of putting the vehicle on a tracked chassis.

The vehicle has integrated reconnaissance equipment, which includes an EOS500 electro-optical system mounted on a telescopic mast.

The optical system provides direct visual surveillance with a target detection range of over eleven kilometers.

The armored vehicle carries three Recce S unmanned aerial vehicles that can conduct reconnaissance at a range of up to eight kilometers.

The Panzerjäger can be armed with two Spike LR2 anti-tank missile launchers, which have a total ammunition capacity of four units.

The vehicle is also equipped with a Natter combat module, which includes a 7.62 mm machine gun. At the customer’s request, other weapons can be integrated into the combat module.

The armored vehicle is equipped with an APV acoustic detection system that automatically determines the direction of fire.

The Panzerjäger is mounted on the Enok 14.8 platform by Armored Car Systems, with the chassis manufactured by Daimler Truck AG. The armored vehicle’s total weight is about 11 tons, with a payload and combat load of 4 tons.

The manufacturer can optionally install STANAG lvl 3 armor protection. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour and a turning radius of about 16 meters.
