Russia attacked the Kyiv region with ballistic and cruise missiles

The Russian invaders attacked the Kyiv region with ballistic and cruise missiles.

The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

It is reported that on June 1, around 2:45 am, the enemy fired Iskander ballistic missile system missiles at the objects of civil and critical infrastructure in the Kyiv region.

A total of 10 Iskander-type ballistic and cruise missiles were launched from the northern direction – the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

All ten were destroyed by the air defense forces of the Ukrainian Air Forces: seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles and three Iskander-K cruise missiles.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, there are dead and wounded, among them children. Thus, debris fell on a clinic and a multi-story building in the Desnianskyi district of the capital.

As a result, according to preliminary information, 3 people died, and 10 more were injured. One child (born in 2012) is among the casualties.

A residential building was damaged by debris, cars in the parking lot caught fire, and debris fell onto the roadway in the Dniprovskyi district. Casualties have been reported.

According to the updated information from the Kyiv City State Administration, as of 7:00 a.m.:

• in Desnianskyi district: 3 people died, including 1 child (born 2012), and 10 people were injured, including 1 child.
• in the Dniprovskyi district: 2 people were injured.

As previously reported, between 00.00 am and 05.00 am on May 29, 2023, the Russian invaders attacked military facilities and critical infrastructure of Ukraine with cruise missiles and drones. The Air Defense of Ukraine destroyed 37 Russian cruise missiles out of 40 launched, as well as 29 kamikaze drones out of about 35.

On the same day, around 11:30 a.m., the Russians attacked the Kyiv region with ballistic and cruise missiles from the Iskander short-range ballistic missile system. According to the military, a total of 11 ballistic and cruise missiles were fired at Ukraine.
