Russian army shelled the Nikopol district with Grad MLRS – 13 dead

During the night, the Russian invasion forces shelled the Nikopol district twice using the Grad rocket systems.

The invaders killed 13 people and wounded 11 others.

Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram.

“The enemy shelled the district twice with Grad. They fired 80 shells at residential blocks. They have hit deliberately and insidiously when people were sleeping in their homes.

Marhanets and the Myriv community came under fire,” the note says.

The Head of the RMA stated that 10 people died in Marhanets, and 11 were injured. Ten of the wounded are now in the hospital, and seven of them are in severe condition.

More than 20 high-rise buildings, the Palace of Culture, a hostel, two schools, the City Council building and several other administrative offices were destroyed in the city.

The power line has also been disabled. Several thousand residents are now left without electricity.

In Vyshetarasivka of the Myriv community, one woman died. Her house was destroyed by an enemy shell. The couple suffered injuries. A wounded woman was admitted to the hospital. Her current condition is assessed by doctors as moderate. Another injured man is now being treated at home.

In the village, 11 private residential houses and gas pipelines were damaged. Up to a thousand people are left without a gas supply.

Subsequently, Valentyn Reznichenko clarified that two of the people wounded by the enemy shelling during the night died in the Marhanets hospital.

“At this moment, the night Russian attack on the Nikopol district claimed the lives of 13 peaceful people. 11 are wounded, and 5 of them are in severe condition,” shared the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
