Russian R-330Zh “Zhitel” EW system destroyed in the Kharkiv Region
The Ukrainian military in the Kharkiv Region destroyed the Russian R-330Zh “Zhitel” electronic warfare system.
This became known from a message of the @Teoyaomiquu Twitter user.
The consequences of the system’s defeat were recorded by the Ukrainian reconnaissance aircraft.
The footage shows how the KamAZ chassis, which is part of the R-330Zh system, is burning.
Behind the vehicles lies an inverted container with radiating tools. This is the second part of the “Zhitel” system.
Judging by the images, the container and its equipment suffered serious damage.
The Russian R-330Zh “Zhitel” system is designed for automated detection, direction finding and analysis of radio emission signals in the operating frequency range.
R-330Zh provides setting of radio interference, as follows:
- terminals of the “INMARSAT” and “IRIDIUM” satellite communication systems;
- navigation equipment of consumers of satellite radio navigation system GPS;
- base stations and terminals of cellular radio communication systems of GSM-1800 standard.
Emitting tools are placed in separate mobile wheeled towed container.
The destruction of such a Russian electronic warfare system has been reported earlier.
