Russian Stupor portable anti-drone system failed to stop Ukrainian Armed Forces drone

The Ukrainian military hit Russian soldiers with a drone. The Russians had a Stupor anti-drone rifle.

The Russian Stupor portable anti-drone system is a special electronic warfare device designed to suppress radio communication/control channels and navigation of commercial UAVs.

The system was first presented publicly by the Russian company “Lokatsyonnaya Masterskaya” at the Army-2017 forum.

According to the developers, without receiving the necessary data or commands, the drone should switch to landing or return to the launch point.

“Interference is set at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequencies used in radio communications and UAVs. Radio radiation is 15 ° wide and affects the target at ranges up to 500 m,” the developer said.

In July 2022, the first portable electronic warfare systems fell into the hands of the Russian army and occupation forces in the Donbas.
