Russian troops managed to advance in the Mykolaiv direction — the General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning summary reported about the advance of Russian troops in the direction of Mykolaiv.

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff for August 21.

The General Staff informed that the invaders managed to occupy the southern outskirts of Blahodatne village.

“In the Mykolaiv direction, (the enemy, – ed.) is conducting an offensive battle in the direction of Vasylky-Blahodatne, having occupied the southern outskirts of Blahodatne, hostilities continue,” the General Staff stated in its summary.

In addition, in the South Buh direction, the enemy used tanks, barrel and rocket artillery to shell the areas of Stepova Dolyna, Lymany and 15 more settlements.

The General Staff noted that it were recorded Russian airstrikes near Olhyne, Zarichne, Novohryhorivka, Bila Krynytsia, Tavriyske, Lozove, and Andriivka.

As previously reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized the occupiers’ ammunition depots in Chornobaivka and Starytsi.

The command post of the 247th Guards Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Guards Mountain Air Assault Division came under fire from the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
