Russians are trying to take advantageous positions near Lukiantsi and Vovchansk
Russian troops are trying to seize favorable positions near the towns of Lukiantsi and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.
Ruslan Muzychuk, a spokesman for the National Guard, shared this with LIGA.net.
“The enemy is trying to create favorable conditions for further advancement. In particular, to occupy more favorable positions on the ground. The units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces do not allow the Russian invaders to gain a foothold. They are counterattacking, launching artillery strikes, and engaging UAV units,” Muzychuk emphasized.
The soldiers of the 3rd Assault Detachment of the “Omega” Special Operations Center of the National Guard of Ukraine note that over the past few days, the enemy has been engaging infantry groups whose task is to gain a foothold near settlements in the north of the Kharkiv region.
In addition, the Russian invaders are trying to bring in their personnel and ammunition in small vehicles. On May 14, the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed one buggy and two Russian depots.
“Snipers of the “Omega” Special Operations Center are also working to inflict losses on the enemy on the outskirts of Hlyboke and Lukiantsi,” the National Guard spokesman added.
